Add Unicode Characters to Heliboard

Personal use case: add fediverse symbol ⁂ character to f key.

You may need to add some mathematical symbol/character, language symbol, etc. that Heliboard's default layout and dictionary may lack of.

Easy way 👍

• Take your basic layout file from layouts. My basic layout is qwerty.txt.
• in your computer, create a text file with its content
• rename this file to something representative like my-unicodes.txt.
• choose the character in that list you want to use and add the character(s) you need
  • example: f ⁂ 🖕 , space separated in a single line.
• send it (make it available) to your Android device.
• open Heliboard settings > Language & Layouts
• «touch» your current active language. (Note: «Use system's languages» has to be disabled)
• touch + to add a new layout and in the pop-up touch Add personal layout
  • 
• select your my-unicodes.txt file (in the picture I use «unicode-heliboard»)

Finally you have to select the keyboard you have added the characters to (long press on space bar).

How to use

just long press on the key you added the character to and it'll be available as any the other options you already had in that key.

That's it. You then can directly add new characters editing this file.
